Each of the trim-specific Mazda CX-5 differences only means a more luxurious experience as you move up the line. However, some amenities remain the same for every edition. For example, every variant features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch full-color touchscreen with voice command, Apple CarPlay® and Android Audio™ integration, a rear roof spoiler, and an AWD badge.
For 2025, the Mazda CX-5 2.5 S is revived, as it was not included in the 2024 Mazda CX-5 trims lineup. However, it was a member of the Mazda CX-5 selection in the past. This entry-level model offers a 2.5-liter Skyactiv®-G turbo engine, i-Activ AWD®, LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
When you upgrade to this trim, you get access to an advanced keyless entry system, two-zone climate control with a pollen filter, and heated front seating with three-level adjustment. This second-tier trim also makes the switch from cloth seating to leatherette.
